How to become a Java junior?
What do you need to know to become a java junior and do I need to buy a certificate?
PS. Perhaps I phrased the question incorrectly. It's just that I'm just starting to program and I don't quite know what's what, I hope you understand the question and give an adequate answer.

Just write all sorts of things for yourself, read the documentation, peep the same stack (but thoughtfully), after a couple of finished products of some kind, you will become a junior.
I hope I explained well.
In order to apply for a Java junior position, you need to spend a lot of time studying. On average, people get 1-1.5 years. You need to know Java Core, where you need to pay enough attention to multithreading and collections and understand well how it all works. Be sure to understand how servlets and JDBC work. You also need to study the environment: tomcat, maven, git, it is also desirable to have a little knowledge of the unix shell. In interviews at many companies, you may also be asked about the basics of Spring and Hibernate. It is also desirable to speak English at least level B1. If you learn all these technologies and develop with their help, for example, a small web application, then in my opinion you will be considered a fairly strong junior who will most likely be able to bypass most of his competitors applying for this vacancy.
