How to become a hardware developer?

Hello everyone, at the moment I am finishing the 11th grade and preparing for admission. Actually the question is as follows:
1. where and with whom it is worth doing so that after graduation from the university you will be well versed in hardware programming, electronics, mechanics and engage in hardware development (development and programming of various electronic devices)?
2. How are things with this industry in Russia, is it possible to get a job somewhere and how is it paid?

It's called embedded.
At the same time, the directions may be different, it is not at all a fact that you will have to understand electronics and mechanics.
For practice, you can buy an Arduino and a bunch of all sorts of gizmos for it - diodes, motors, pumps, and try to make some devices.
You can write various firmware for devices.
But the institute does not teach programming hardware. At best, a basic understanding of electronics and mechanics. Therefore, where you enter is not as critical as what you study on your own. Enter any physics and mathematics or IT faculty. You can search how alive the Department of Robotics is in the institution.
