DDoS Protection

How to be sure of the innocence of the host?

The site is often subject to DDoS attacks. The site has low traffic, and simply cannot have enemies. The site is located on a separate server, administration is also the responsibility of this company.
Although hosters repel these attacks for free, but this happens on the basis of their rare manifestations. Is it possible to somehow determine whether hosters are behind the attacks?

access.log of the web server to the studio.
Ask the hoster for diapos of its networks or look for yourself here
https://www.ripe.net/
If the hoster's IP does not appear in the access.log, then the hoster is not to blame.
In fact - do not invent problems for yourself and do not blame the people who provide services to you and help you. Ask technical support to double-check your web server settings - maybe your KeepAlive, TimeOut, ConnectPerUser are poorly set, and your users, without knowing it, arrange for you "DDOS"
And low attendance is not an argument for "no enemies" and attacks for a hoster. IMHO, not a single employee of a hoster in their right mind will create problems for themselves and customers. DDOS is also a load on the hoster's equipment, and the hoster pays for the traffic. It 's more expensive to arrange such
things. Are you sure that this is DDOS?

What's the point of attacking themselves?
