How to back up a php site?

Good day! Actually the question is: there is a site with a postgres database. What are the ways to organize backup of both the site files themselves and the database through php scripts? Maybe there are some ready-made solutions. Backup must be done through php through the site itself. And also restore it through the site when accessing the script on the site. Thanks in advance!
PS For a DB it is possible something like Sypex Dumper only for Postgresql.

As one of the options I found Akeeba Backup . While I understand, but judging by the description it looks like what I was looking for. The only thing I would like is a script that is easier and simpler, and this is a whole reservation system.
