A WordPress site is constantly attacked with a 404 error, i.e. send several thousand requests to the site in a short time. How can I set up protection for a site by automatically blocking an ip-address that, FOR EXAMPLE, opened more than 5-10 erroneous "404 not found" pages? And manually blocking is constantly difficult.

I'm using WP Security , there is an option to block IPs in case of frequent 404s, but you can't set the amount, only the blocking time.
