How to "attach" an HTML site template to some CMS?

I recently started learning HTML. In the process of studying, I downloaded the site template and made it up to fit my needs. The template is very simple, just a few divs, one of which should contain the content. As I understand it, you need to regularly add content through some kind of CMS.
Question - how and to which CMS to bind my template? I understand that the question is quite extensive, but I would like to hear at least the general principles for resolving this issue.
