How to arrange the acceptance of payments on the site from different countries?
I need to accept payments from different countries - from the USA to Japan, from ordinary users.
Does it make sense to try to do this inside the Russian Federation or immediately go to open a company in the EU / USA / Taiwan?

The initial data is not enough for a definite answer.
But if you can connect the reception of funds on suitable conditions to the legal entity of the Russian Federation, and everything suits taxation, then there is no point.
At the same time, remember that, for example, not all Russian payment processors accept payments from the United States. Also, keep in mind that non-3DS cards are still common in many countries. Not everyone provides the opportunity to accept such cards (especially for clients without a processing history), and if they do, this often greatly affects the conditions (commissions, holds, etc.).
The EU/US option has its pros and cons.
On the one hand, the advantages are obvious:
- a wide range of payment processors opens up, you can find suitable solutions for almost any area;
- you can optimize taxation;
- it is easier for companies from a respectable jurisdiction to expand into new markets and attract investments.
On the other hand, there are moments:
- opening an account, especially a merchant, especially if the beneficiary is from the Russian Federation, in a more or less good bank is not so easy now, and the process is usually not fast and involves the provision of a lot of documents and information.
- if you are a resident of the Russian Federation, remember about CFC legislation, automatic exchange of tax information, etc.
- despite the fact that you can open a company remotely, in the process of banking services, there is a high probability of periodic blocking of transactions, sometimes with the need to personally visit the bank (this applies primarily to the United States), etc.
- and a lot of small moments, just as an example, in the USA there is almost always a fixed part of the commission in addition to the percentage, sometimes it is critical for "nanopayments" (when the check amount is very small).
Not that it was all particularly critical, but it is better to be prepared for this.
