as you were advised in the neighboring answers, it is better to upload the video to any video hosting (youtube / vimeo, etc.) and paste it on the site as a link to such a video.
but, if for some reason this does not suit you, WordPress can upload videos to itself as a standard.
go to edit/add post page and click "add media file" button
there select "upload files"
new versions of wordpress will be able to embed video on site pages.
older versions may require a plugin to be installed.
