How to add ssl certificate for s3 bucket?
A domain is attached to the s3 bucket, ala images.mywebsite.com everything works via http.
Is it possible to attach an ssl certificate to it, in addition to paid offers from amazon / cloudflare, or will you have to pay anyway?

If I understand correctly,
provided that there is a wildcard SSL certificate, then using CNAME you can point to the Amazon domain.
As a CDN, you should use CloudFront (caching), configured on the S3 bouquet where the pictures are located.
Specify CNAME
images .mywebsite.com -> d111111abcdef8.cloudfront.net
