How to add nginx as a service on Ubuntu 16.04?

Installed nginx on a home laptop with Ubuntu 16.04 from sources and now I can't add nginx as a service to use service nginx start/stop, quickly reboot.
This seems to only work on 14.04 - https://github.com/JasonGiedymin/nginx-init-ubuntu
cd /etc/init.d/
Of the site only offers Ubuntu Upstart at the moment - https://www.nginx.com/resources/ wiki/start/topics/...
I tried to do it as in the instructions - https://www.nginx.com/resources/wiki/start/topics/...
It doesn't work.
How to use this Upstart or is it still right to do it differently?
