Depends on how you output it. The link should be in any case, it's the same document.
In the template, do whatever you want, like pdoMenu or with Javascript. Example , substitutes # for a drop-down item.

In the template, depending on what you output - getresources or wayfinder. &tpl='' to set menu item template manually
