How to add manual wrapping to flexbox?

Is it possible in flexbox to force the Nth child element to collapse onto a new line, even if it has enough space on the previous line? Roughly speaking, we need an analogue <br>.
As far as I know, the specification does not provide for this (and this I consider the main drawback of flexbox, in addition to a few more smaller ones). But maybe the people contrived and came up with some kind of crutch?
