How to add cname to hetzner?

Hello!
Bought a domain from a third party registrar.
I rented hosting from Hetzner. Created a zone on dns.hetzner.com. Registered the server of this zone at the domain registrar.
Created a type A record for the main domain
. Created a CNAME record for subdomains.


The main domain is working, but the subdomains are not.
nslookup shows a dual domain for subdomains. Like this:
api.mydomain.com canonical name mydomain.com.mydomain.com
What am I doing wrong?

This is what the add entry window looks like. In the first field (host) I enter the subdomain itself (api), in the second field (alias) I enter my main domain.

Issue resolved. It was necessary to put a point after the domain.

Isn't it easier to use a notation? why cname?
