How to add a user to the local group "Remote Desktop Users" in Windows 7 Home Basic?
I searched the Internet for options when they push some kind of "RDP 5 Portable", that is, a patched client. I have RDP Wrapper configured, everything is fine, but I cannot connect to regular accounts, since they are not included in the specified user group. How can I do this without the appropriate "Local Users and Groups" MMC snap-in, or how can I add this snap-in to the MMC? I must say right away that "GPEdit.msc 1.0" is already installed, which allows you to work with group policies in lower versions of Windows, but there is nothing in it that helps solve the problem (in any case, I did not find anything). I also draw your attention to the fact that answers somehow expanding the rights of remote login to everyone do not fit - I do not need it. I repeat, you only needadd the user to the Remote Desktop Users group, and that's it. You don’t need to patch the RDP client, it’s not advisable to reinstall Windows on Pro (there are licenses, but I don’t want to spend time for this functionality).
UPD: I have never upgraded the system before, but do I understand correctly that it is possible to update the system through Windows Anytime Upgrade, but at the same time programs like Microsoft Office 2007, Google Chrome, etc. remained employed?
