How to acquire the skills of using the methods of computational mathematics in programming?

Hello. Now I am a 3rd year student in a specialty related to IT, however, with mathematics (math. analysis, numerical methods, theory of faith and mathematical statistics ...) I still have serious difficulties associated with the assimilation of information and solving non-template tasks. Sometimes there is a desire to take some book and start studying on your own. However, all the literature that I came across has nothing to do with programming algorithms and performing calculations on a computer. This raises two questions:
1) And then do I need it at all? Will it not happen that after graduating from the university everything will be quickly forgotten due to lack of practice?
2) If you still need it, then how to approach the study, on what materials: textbooks, problem books, electronic courses ...?
I ask knowledgeable people to help understand.

1. This will be needed if the tasks to be performed require mating. analysis, numerical methods, theory of verifications and mat. statistics is a limited range of tasks related to calculations, and for such tasks it will be necessary to choose the appropriate company or the corresponding project. 90% of programming tasks are not.
2. They say gamedev needs math
