How to access background color in Vector Smart Object?
Good day!
The psd layout has a user icon which is a non-editable Vector Smart Object.
There is no editable Smart Object in the layout.
In the layout, you need to change the background from gray to red on hover.
What is the best way to implement this?

In fact, vector smart objects are still editable. Double click on it and it opens: a) if it was done in Photoshop, then in a new tab / window of Photoshop; b) if in Illustrator, then Illustrator is launched, a smart object is opened in it. You can change anything and close with saving, and in Photoshop it will be updated automatically.
If done in a vector, then just resave 2 svg with the desired background colors and that's it.
If Illustrator is not installed, then you need to install it.
Or do you just have a layer called Vector Smart Object, and the layer itself is rasterized?
poke into the gray background with the "magic wand", press delete and make the icon with a little man on a transparent background. give it border-radius:50% and background-color:grey, or whatever you want. and change it on hover.
