How successful can you use Linux tools when writing a thesis?

for personal reasons, I want to switch to Linux, but this year I have to write a term paper, I want to ask experienced users if there are enough Linux tools to complete GOSTs.

Latex is latex in Africa too!
And what does "linux toolkit" mean? To write a thesis, you only need texlive and a text editor!
Another thing is the toolkit that allows you to receive and process data. It already depends on the specialization. Personally, I need a mastdayka no more than 1 time per year, there is enough pirate hryundel in virtualbox.
PS In no case do not listen to the humanities! All sorts of ohfis are suitable only for them. A techie without latex is like a plumber without a gas wrench!

I will say more - the native format of libreofice is quite GOST

Liber/Open Office quietly opens and saves Word documents. For writing text with tables, pictures, graphs, it is enough. Perhaps he is capable of more, but I just didn’t need it :)
