How soon will users have IPv6 addresses?
The question arose due to the fact that the server has a php.net/ip2long function that checks the addresses of site visitors. But it won't work with ipv6, we haven't heard about its replacement (they haven't rolled it out in PHP7).
Will providers soon start distributing new addresses to ordinary network users and how to determine them in this case?

They already exist, but there are nuances:
1) Does your web server listen to IPv6 requests for sure? If not, then there is nothing to worry about yet
2) IPv6 will no longer fit in long integer, I convert both protocols to hexadecimal representation like this
I have ipv6 at home. The truth is not from the provider, but from the tunnel broker. But these are details, there is no difference. This time.
Google Chrome with the traffic saving feature enabled works through a Google proxy that has an ipv6 address. So there is a large proportion of even tech-savvy users who are unaware that they are using ipv6.
Not soon. Many people already have IPv6 through tunnels. IPv4, as it was with providers, will not go anywhere.
I was asked to raise ipv6 a year ago, citing the fact that some users in Europe already have ipv6
