How secure is Java?

Half a year ago, I started developing an engine in Java. And I'm interested in the question of how secure Java is, the wiki says "Another important feature of Java technology is a flexible security system due to the fact that the execution of the program is completely controlled by the virtual machine", does this mean that, for example, a game made in Java will be protected from cheats, and programs from break-ins and cracks.

In short, no . Security in this case means control over those actions that can potentially harm the system in which the virtual machine is running.

In the world, in general, everything is relative, whoever needs them will break, moreover, anything but your offspring may not be touched out of solidarity www.xakep.ru/post/61907

No programming language can forbid a programmer from writing lame and leaky code.
