How safe is it to store passwords in a binary?
I took it as a coursework topic, a password manager. And now, their own encryption algorithm has been written, and the program itself, but what and how to store is the question. The teacher said that the binary was enough, but I was thinking of raising the database, or at least SQLight. Is it generally safe to store passwords in a binary, or is there some other way?

What does safe to store mean?
If the data is encrypted - then the level of 'danger' depends on the reliability of the encryption
algorithm attack vectors). At the same time, temporary files of the decrypted database should not appear during operation, because after deleting them, the file can still be restored.
From here, choose a storage method in which it is convenient to satisfy these requirements. Sqlite doesn't support encryption out of the box, but there are third party modifications if it fits - why not.
