How often does Google's location data transfer between phones?

I tried the option of transferring geodata.
I left one phone at home and turned on the video recording, with the other I went for a walk.
As a result, my coordinates were updated quite infrequently - about once a minute.
Probably not enough data to ask what it could be connected with.
Instead, I'll ask if this frequency is normal at all?
Maybe it's possible to configure that the coordinates are sent and received at least once every 10 seconds?
