How much more profitable are monochrome LCD displays than color ones?
I studied the difference between monochrome displays and color displays, but did not find information of interest to me about their production.
I am interested in such a question, if we take two displays with a resolution of, say, 1024x768 and 306 PPI, where the monochrome one has an electroluminescent panel, and the color one has LED backlighting, how much can their cost differ?
I would also like to know about energy efficiency.

Why do you need cost? Will you produce displays?
If you are still not a manufacturer, compare the prices at which displays can get you.
Here, compare displays by characteristics gamma.spb.ru/index.php/produktsiya/indikatory-displei Call
for
prices.
There is a BW LCD without backlighting, there is a substrate reflecting light. Consumption is not more than 1mA at 3.6V, and more often less than 0.5mA. Backlight - 100-150 mA @ 3.6V.
It seems to me that it will not be easy to find a BW LCD with a resolution of 1024x768. It seems that there were such permissions in e-books.
