How much minimum space should be allocated for partitions for linux, for an office computer?
I decided to mark it like this:
/ 16 GB
swap according to the size of the RAM
/home ?
Here, under /home, I can’t decide how much is needed at least to be enough for the type of office computer (climb the internet, watch movies, work with spreadsheets)?
I do not plan to store any data ... such as a file washer in / home, for this I will allocate space in a separate section as much as is free.

If there is only one disk in the computer and LVM is not planned, it is completely unnecessary to make several partitions for data.
I decided to partition like this:
/ 16 GB
It is not necessary to tie up with the size of the RAM, it's too much. Enough and 4GB, "to be."
Office computer - the concept is very extensible. If a basic system with a lightweight graphical environment, several browsers, a video / audio player and an office suite is installed, then 16 gigabytes is quite enough. And it is better to create only the root partition and swap. For the "file dump" leave 10 gigs (which would be enough for a little longer), 4 gigs for swap, and then, it's not entirely clear why it is, except for the case of 2 GB of RAM. Everything else is under the root. And there is no reason to complicate your life.
