How much is the difference in Windows OS performance between a physical machine and a virtual machine (VMware ESXi)?
Good afternoon. The question is to those who have encountered, have experience, checked.
If you work with a Windows machine via RDP, will there be a noticeable difference in performance if you use virtualization?
That is, for example, if you take a physical machine, for example, with an i3-6100, 8GB DDR3l and an SSD drive, and make a virtual machine of the same characteristics on ESXi (say, on the same hardware), despite the fact that apart from this virtual machine, no other virtual machines will not be used / take away resources. Will the system run slower on a virtual machine compared to a physical one, when working through a thin client via RDP?
Thanks in advance for your replies.

There will be a difference.
Tangible or not - depends on your tasks.
IMHO, not a significant difference.
Just try.
in the version you proposed, the difference will be so insignificant that you won’t even notice it.
but in general, read here:

How much is the difference in Windows OS performance between a physical machine and a virtual machine?Depends on the situation and tasks. Maybe less than 1% may differ at times.
Watching what you will do. Any server service, any office application, and indeed everything that does not work with graphics (with graphics there are asses of different sizes - from small and elegant to huge) - will work in such a way that it will not actually be noticeable.
