What should a driver know?
Drive a KAMAZ or a motorcycle?
Repair a car?
Know the detours along the highway Magand - Bobruisk?
Maybe the answers to these questions depend on the specific place of work? Professional racer and tractor drivers, but the knowledge is different.
One works on a KAMAZ truck only within the city, the second one drives along the highway. They are both KAMAZ drivers, but in the event of a breakdown, the first one can simply tow the car to the garage and give it to the mechanics, the second one should be able to repair something himself.
When you already understand that in any profession the template works only at the lowest layers and then not 100%. In all other cases, there is a very large selection of options and required knowledge, which depends on your place of work and desire.
Please enlighten me why the same type of questions appear every day. What specifically prompted you to ask it? Why didn't you just open up a job listing with requirements?

Somewhere already answered this question.
I have a list of minimum requirements for a RoR developer, which seems fair to me:

  • html, css, js - basic level
  • Good knowledge of ruby
  • Understanding the RoR device
  • The ability to at least distinguish good code from bad
  • Git, of course, the ability to apply git flow
  • Be able to write tests and apply TDD / BDD
  • Know the principles of database operation

Why does he need a layout? How about a design? Ruby must know RoR from A to Z.
