How much does a radio tower cost?
In the Moscow region there is a recreation village. We want to have a normal internet there.
The nearest beeline tower is 5 km from us.
When discussing this issue with them, the manager announced a maximum speed of 10 Mb / s and the cost of the project in excess of a million, or even two.
Is it really so expensive to put up such towers now?
How much will one tower with a throughput of at least 100 Mb / s cost along with adequate equipment?
Any information on this situation?
Radio towers 15-20 meters high.
We have no experience in cooperation with operators, but a cursory glance at the price of the issue seemed wild.
I will be glad to any comments. As well as contacts of people who understand this / had experience.

If it’s an open field, then to install the tower directly, you need at least 1.5-2 million rubles, plus the cost of laying fiber optic lines, in rural areas, which can be calculated by poles 130-150 thousand rubles per km. But maybe RRL will go there, we have to look. This is for 3G, WiMAX will probably be cheaper due to the equipment, but it will not work to make calls.
In general, operators usually make a complex solution, taking into account the payback, so the indicated amount is quite real.
Do you think it will be cheaper to connect satellite Internet? You don't need to build anything. Installation is fast.
At my dacha to the tower with LTE 4.5 km. I have my 20 Mbps. Antenna 4G/LTE AX-2520P MIMO 2x2 (20 dB) is installed at a height of 5 meters from the ground (i.e. line of sight is very conditional). The modem is an unlocked megaphone with two antenna inputs. The router is some kind of zyxel.
Try a directional antenna, we once deployed GSM repeaters without notifying operators for communication in one village.
