How many layers/stages of templating is normal for a web project?
Hello, we have recently put on a project in which as many as three types / stages of template engines are involved. This is the first time I've come across such a large number and I'm interested in the opinion of more experienced people, how normal is this number and what is the maximum number you had?
at the moment, the project has such
jade/pug templating engine - on it layout designers write layout for static and part of dynamic pages, rendered using gulp
php - part of jade templates generate code with php interspersed, which is executed at the moment of launching the site /
javascript application - some parts pages are already generated on the client/browser. template engine - just javascript, where the markup and data that the browser pulls from the server are glued together in a terrible way and inserted into html
is it worth living with such a project or is it better to run away from it as quickly as possible?
