How long does it take to start a domain transfer?

I have domains on REG.RU, I recently took them, I want to transfer them to another registrar.
I ask for advice, when is it better for me to start the transfer, in a month or two, or should I transfer it now?
How complex and lengthy is this process?

It's impossible to predict.
At best, a couple of days. At worst, the transfer will not take place at all.
Start right away.
