C # is usually understood as Visual C# , more specifically Microsoft Visual C# .
Microsoft Visual C# is Microsoft 's implementation of the C# language .
It probably looks strange, considering that the language was created by Microsoft for the Microsoft .NET Framework , but at the moment there are two C# specifications : ECMA-334 , ISO/IEC 23270:2006 (I have no idea what the difference is). Microsoft is churning out new versions of C# at an alarming rate, and as a result, releases new specifications :-)
Due to different implementations
C# , standards, legal problems in the language appear distortions and inconsistencies. For example, when programming under Mono , there are small features that should be taken into account. But in general, C# is one.
One language - C#
Visual C# is a component in the Visual Studio environment responsible for its support.
