How is the upgrade of an Android application from the "free" version to the "pro" version implemented?

There are two applications (not added to the market), in one (free) advertising + truncated functionality, in the second (pro) there is no advertising + full functionality. How to implement the upgrade process from (free) to (pro)? Both applications are maintained and updated.

In your case, the free version cannot be upgraded to pro in any way. Users must download the pro version themselves.

And if you try to provide an update in the Play Market to Pro when buying a pro version?
