How good is React apollo?

I'm trying to embed grapthql into a project. The choice fell on the Apollo. Information on how to do elementary things is complete, how to do complex things - no. Questions are:
Can apollo-link-state replace redux, how good is it?
Or does it feel better to leave redux as local state manager and apollo only for requests.
