There is an extension for Pocket and for example there is an article on Forbes , which is divided into 2 pages: ...motors? page=0,0 and ...motors? page=0,1 . These are not some tabs with changing css display.

How does the extension "guess" me to save the entire article?

It's simple - for well-known publications there are specialized parsers that pull out the entire article. Also separate modules for wordpress, blogger...
