How does the number of layers affect the performance of a 2D game in Unity?
Hello. I found little good information on the Internet regarding this issue, but I'm interested in how the number of layers in a 2D game can generally affect performance, especially on mobile platforms. In my case, I use about 14 layers to sort game objects by type. Is it possible that if you put everything in one layer and use only the "Order in Layer" parameter - this will greatly affect performance for the better? Thanks in advance for your clarifications and advice.
