How does the gavick template for CMS Joomla work?

Good afternoon, I first sat down at joomla, downloaded the template from gavick . I started watching videos on how to work with joomla. Then I found the playlist "How to install a template on joomla". There he gives examples with templates from yootemplates, rocket them and some others, and says that everything is easy and understandable. With gavick, it's not clear, everything is different. When I installed joomla at step 3, I was asked to install a language pack, I clicked install and got out:

No database selected SQL=SELECT `extension_id` FROM `#__extensions` WHERE `type` = 'language' AND `element` = 'en-GB' AND `client_id` = 0

. Who worked with gavick, tell me how to edit it, I also got error 1146 on the main page (error processing the request), and why did it get out!

Use WordPress, the possibilities there are now commensurate, and there are an order of magnitude fewer glitches and difficulties. Or Drupal if you're into PHP.

It's not entirely clear how you set the template. If you install the quickstart package, then you can not install the language pack, install it later, in the admin panel.
