How does Spider Oak perform client-side encryption + delta encoding?
When using the specified service, the principle of zero knowledge is used - the data is completely encrypted on the client.
However, it uses delta encoding to keep the history of the files.
Explain how this happens? Do they store the delta on the user's computer, or send an encrypted file to the cloud - and there they calculate the delta between two encrypted files by some magic?
