If you have a short table, then you need a smaller monitor, the larger the monitor, the further you need to sit from it, and sometimes there is no such possibility.

I would say a little better - the eyes run further =)
but in general there are many more factors - distance, lighting, landing, etc., etc.

It's more about genetics here. I earned -4 at the age of 13, after that the fall stopped. I spend most of the day at the computer. And my brother doesn’t get out of the computers for days and he has 100%, while the monitors were different, small black-and-white car TVs (along with the dandy) and sucky CRT monitors with 60 hertz. So do not bother, if the DNA is not right, then you will go blind anyway.

I will describe my personal feelings from different monitors.
1. Home Dell 2412m - 24" E-IPS, matte - I like it very much, my eyes don't get tired at all.
2. Working Viewsonic VP2130b - 24" S-PVA, matte - I really like it, my eyes don't get tired either.
3. Samsung (cheap) - also working, but not mine - 19", TN - feeling that it is somehow dark, increasing the brightness / contrast does not help, I strain, I prefer not to sit behind it.
4. Another Samsung 19" TN (cheap) - I wanted to put the house second - but I could not look at him next to Dell'om. The picture is completely different, it is very uncomfortable to use it at the same time.
5. Asus - 24 "TN, some kind of expensive one. With a leather strip at the bottom of the screen. It hits the eyes like a spotlight, brightness reduction is impossible.
Size - I plan to switch to 27" or 30" in the future. Now the monitor is at arm's length (I reach the screen with my fingertips).
I also use the free program f.flux - automatic decrease in screen brightness in the evening and increase in the morning. Very satisfied!
