How does Facebook identify the application?

I have zero skills in java and react native, I'm trying to figure out one problem for marketers. If anyone is familiar with connecting applications to advertising accounts, please tell us how FB identifies an application? Is there any unique identifier (app id) or do they count some parameters and output a hash?

Well... in general, when you add your application to Facebook for Developers, an appId is generated there. and when your application accesses facebook, it sends this same appid and token. That's all.
Or is that not what we are talking about?
