How does authority affect LF and MF queries?
I have a website, age - a couple of months, subject - minecraft, I want to focus on LF and MF requests and get hosts from these requests.
I wanted to order a run through the catalogs to increase the reference mass, because at the moment it is equal to zero. I read that building up the link mass affects the authority of the site, the question is whether this will affect the bass and midrange requests, whether they will rise in positions or not. And what is the optimal number of directories needed so that the site does not go to the ACS.

The link mass is indeed one of the important indicators of the authority of the site, it is worth developing, but my advice to you, without sufficient experience in this matter, refrain from running, there is a high chance of ruining the project.
No one will tell you the exact number of directories / sites in order not to fall under the ACS, because filters are superimposed in a complex, it happens that on sites even without reference mass. By the way, the directories will probably be stuffed with spam. What a positive impact...
Use tools like Ahrefs , Linkpad , etc. to research your competitors' link profiles and evaluate which sites you can get good links from. This is more difficult than ordering a catalog run, but it is safer and often gives better results ..
ps There are people who perform runs not only on directories, i.e. for different types of sites. For some projects, the runs are positive, for others they are negative. A "high-quality" run on a relatively clean base is also quite expensive, and the results are unpredictable .
In general, it's up to you - you can drive it away, then you will get invaluable experience , whatever it may be.
