How does a second windows account work?
Hello! I need to test programs, including possibly viruses. I don’t really want to install a virtual machine, if I create a second account in Windows 8.1, won’t the whole system fly if, let’s say, there are some jambs or viruses on the second account? And if there are any failures, will it be possible to simply delete this account without harming the OS?
What would you do in this case? Thank you!

Windows is not Linux for you. On Windows, most programs downloaded from the Internet require rights. They won't work without permission. If you run the encryptor, your next question will be this - "Sentry. All my files are encrypted. How to decrypt?". In your case, it is better to use the sandbox - SandboxIE (it is free and open source). There are also sandboxes in antiviruses, but I don’t use antiviruses, so I don’t know what is there, but how.
Spoiler: If you run WinLoker in SandboxIE, you will need to reboot by "pulling the plug out of the socket", but when you turn it on (provided that the screw does not fly far), no changes will occur in the system, and it will work normally.
I don't even trust virtual machines - because they have vulnerabilities. And viruses use them to infect the host system and other virtual machines. And bypassing account rights has not been a problem for a long time.
If you run applications without using admin rights, they will crap within the account (but with a strong desire, they can also jump out). But most likely your goal is different, and the method is unsuitable.
So either use a virtual machine with checkpoints, or Windows Sandbox .
