I don't fully understand how switching to a longer branch on the blockchain works in practice. Therefore, I would be grateful for advice on what to read, what to study.
And if possible, tell me how the node switches to a longer blockchain, I need this to understand in order to implement one thing

If the number of the new valid block is greater than all the previous ones, select it, now the entire chain from this block to the very first one.
