How does 4G and LTE work in a tablet without a SIM card?

Need a tablet for windows. I took a closer look at Microsoft Surface 3 64GB LTE , this tablet claims to support 4G and LTE, but there is no 3G support and there is no SIM card slot. Apparently, at some points I am behind the times, but as far as I know, mobile Internet is provided either by opsos or iota. But if there is no SIM card, how is the connection to communication services and how are they provided?

And where did you get that there is no slot for a SIM card?

All Surface 3 tablet models will be equipped with nano-SIM SIM card readers

Also lte support in fact means 3g / edge support, it's just that no one writes about it.
