How do you work in gitlab with vault and helm?

How do you work with hashicorp vault and helm charts in gitlab-ci?
As I understand it, in the deploy job, I must get all the necessary secrets from the vault, and then pass the variables through --set or pass the previously generated file with secrets through -f/--values.
How is it implemented for you? And what is the best way to implement this if you need to use a lot of secrets?
