How do you use docker on mac?

Docker on a Mac is very slow, I heard you can run it on a VDS and use it remotely. Does anyone have experience with this use? Please share the link and setup instructions

Docker on a Mac in Parallels Desktop with docker-machine does not slow down, and only takes up RAM used by boot2docker.
Unlike Docker for Mac, where qemu runs a virtual machine and qemu reserves all the memory.
