And how, besides the login and password, should it be protected?
If you are afraid of brute login and password, then it turns out to be unsafe for users, and the problem is not that there is still some kind of protection.
And there are practically no conditions to screw any additional levels.
In terms of IP - the dynamics of all firms of average scall (mobile Internet)
Active Directory / LDAP - similarly, there are all sorts of pirates there and in general there is no IT structure.
I don’t know what else can be screwed on, if only one more login and password.
How is the wordpress / octobercms / joomla admin panel and others protected? Nothing out of the box.
And everything from above is filed with complex redirects, non-standard paths to the admin panel, etc. it's not a defense at all
Login and password. If necessary - two-stroke by phone. If you really really need it right at all - then also in terms of ip + browser + OS compatibility. If you really get confused at all - add a geo-position, but this is for very difficult cases.
PS I understand the question about the entrance to the admin panel.
