How do you improve the "speed" of your computer?
Everyone has come across such users:
- My computer is running slowly, do something ... (for example, folders, browser, etc. really take a long time to open)
What tricks do you use to speed up your computer?
For example:
1. I take CCleaner, I clean the registry.
2. I defragment the disk
3. I delete the temporary folder
4. I look at what is in startup.
Share your list, tested on your own experience (software, some tricks you use) and really after your manipulations, the computer works faster.
Without delving into putting a more powerful video card, adding memory ...

I use CCleaner and clean the registry.Hands to tear off, and expel from the profession.
defragment diskSend to be treated for idiocy.
How do you improve the "speed" of your computer? We monitor the load, find bottlenecks, and eliminate them. That is, we add memory, change the disk to a faster one, or the computer to a more productive one.
SHARek , buy ssd
Turn off indexing, prefetch superfetch Disable
/delete unnecessary services Move the
paging file to a separate partition at the very beginning of the disk (if there is no ssd)
Clean autoload registry / services / scheduler
Disable automatic updates of the axis and applications (windows chrome etc)
Disable the restore point (instead of this, a disk backup is made)
Of all this > buy an ssd, you will be happy
They say that if you format the hard drive and put a clean axis from scratch, then everything flies again.
Firstly, in 95% of cases, everything is decided by purchasing an ssd. Utilities that clone from a previous hard drive are also useful.
You can also monitor processes and identify the villain. However, this has already been told about everything in this thread.
If you want to make Windows even faster and safer and more stable, then:
1) MSMG ToolKit at the stage of preparing the Windows image.
2) O&O ShutUp10, Easy service optimizer (Eso), Win 10 Tweaker at the stage after installing Windows.
3) Hide Windows Updates (from Microsoft's website) to prevent unnecessary updates.
I specifically do not give specific actions with these utilities, because situations and needs can be different and there are no universal solutions.
Please be careful where you download these things from.
if (in 2019) your computer slows down so much that you go to the forums in search of advice on how to speed it up ... then there is only one advice - throw out that pile of rubbish that you mistakenly call "campukter" and go and buy something on >i5 + 16Gb + SSD
#%userprofile%/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/Windows/Start Menu/Programs/Startup/cleanup.bat
del /s /q %TEMP%\*.*
rd /s /q %TEMP%
mkdir %TEMP%
As an option, plus to this:
- stop unnecessary services (you need to watch this, do not overdo it .. otherwise you need to stop working)
- Watch the scheduler (what kind of badies are launched from there)
- Previously allocated for SWAP - a separate section
In general, you need to watch which of the running processes can be optimized. Either update services slow down (download - install) or antiviruses.
1. Periodically I clean the disk using STANDARD means.
2. Immediately turn off auto-update and periodically update only manually and selectively!
3. I monitor new and dangerous processes: https://www.anvir.net/
4. I monitor: temperature, cooler speed, dust in the case and the health of the hardware in general.
I have an i5-3350p/16 Gb ddr3/120 ssd + 2 Tb hdd/Windows 10 and I don't do anything at all, except for the 100% hdd problem and a shitty memory manager, solution
I have an old computer, the level of
AMD FX-6300, an ordinary hard drive (which is already 5 years old), but 24 gigabytes of RAM. In the morning I wake up, turn on the computer, turn on all the programs and make coffee. By the time I arrive, everything is already hanging in the RAM and "flies".
If this is a personal computer then:
ssd + clean installation of win 10
what not to do: -
understand what kind of shitty software leads to brakes. in 95% it will take longer than reinstalling the system
- use programs like ccleaner. the registry does not need to be cleaned and optimized. it is very small and fits easily in the RAM. disk cleanup is a standard disk cleanup application, FolderSizes or similar helps a lot. FolderSizes graphically builds a disk map and easily allows you to identify large folders
- never reanimate a computer with an hdd. it's a dead poultice.
- do not use programs to search for drivers. (except hp support assistant, for hp. it really works)
look for drivers on the manufacturer's website, using the update driver button from the device manager. As a last resort, from the site devid.info , but you need to be very careful there. I downloaded the driver and told Windows where to look for the driver and poked in that place. It is not advisable to run exe from there
1 Startup
2 Cleaning temporary
3 Defragmentation, if it didn’t help, then
4 Cleaning the registry and save the hosspadi not with a jcleaner
Dism++ does a good job of cleaning the computer of garbage, and there is also a lot of useful stuff there.
victoria - check HDD for troubles and access speed. Very often, hard stupid things come from bad blocks.
AIDA64-view config and temperatures.
EcMenu is just a handy program, I advise you to look
Defraggler and WinContig -
autorunsc defragmentation - fix autoload.
and put ublock in browsers so that advertising garbage is cut.
well, Total Commander with plug-ins - it’s not really a miserable explorer to use.
