How do you get two from one signal?

In the photo, the transmitter of the RS485 interface, how two A and B are received from the incoming signal, and with the opposite sign. Are they electrically connected?

It is not very clear at what level the answer is needed. I googled it in a few minutes (although not about RS485, but the essence is the same, sort of). I hope that deploying the operational amplifier to individual transistors is not required. :)

Of course they are. They have one power source.
