How do you backup from a slave server?

Actually, for replication, hot stand by is used on the slave.
Because of this, the following pg_dump errors come out during pgdump
: Dumping the contents of table "table name" failed: PQgetResult() failed.
pg_dump: Error message from server: ERROR: canceling statement due to conflict with recovery
DETAIL: User query might have needed to see row versions that must be removed.
Actually what are the best practices for backup?
Didn't there appear in 9.4 some standard non-crutch solutions?

@opium

It is necessary to stop the replica, make a backup and start the replica.
