How do they overcome the threshold of a newbie in development and how not to remain an “eternal newbie”?

4 months ago I got a job as a .Net developer in project development. Since the beginning of the work, the tasks have become noticeably more difficult, the combat missions have begun, but there is a feeling that I didn’t just get little experience, as if I didn’t even budge. There was only one reason for me - project development at the support level, where I did not delve into development technologies, but studied and created designs on a personally developed company framework to solve internal business problems. On pets and CRUDs, which I wrote in parallel from work, I got many times more useful experience. Because of this, there was a strong feeling that I was doing far from what I wanted and somewhere I turned the wrong way. I managed to ask for a review at the end of the test about how to move to the product team, they were disappointed that this year I definitely won’t be able to move, you just have to sit and work. At the same time, I heard from friends and acquaintances, read and watched the stories of the guys, where they got tremendous experience at the start, and after half a year / a year they went to an interesting project and a salary of a completely different level. Some friends managed to get an offer for 100+k without any problems after the first 3 months of work. For me, this becomes at the level of fairy tales, since there is a strong feeling that I am rowing in the wrong direction and in particular that I will remain an eternal beginner without in-demand skills even after a year / a year and a half of work and I will only need a company in which I am working now. From this question, how and how much time should be spent to step over this threshold of a beginner? What is needed for this and does the company, team and project in which you participate influence it? And how not to remain a "perpetual newcomer"?

Work for at least a year. Then talk about your experiences with your immediate supervisor. If he does not hear you, you can look for another job.

The standard step from a junior to an independent developer is about a year. During the first 3-4 months, you are just beginning to understand the specifics of the project you are working on and master the technologies used.
As your experience grows (and it is often difficult to notice this growth without looking at some milestone back), you will be given more difficult tasks, including those for completely independent study. And do not be lazy in your free time to improve your skills, learn something new.
After a year of work, you can talk with your manager about career growth, salary growth, etc. If the leader is adequate, he himself can start this conversation.
If they say that there is still little experience, then you can update your resume and look for a job in the market.
Separately, I note that now expect a very difficult situation on the market, the closure of many development projects, the departure of the industry in support of existing solutions. But at the same time, the domestic market (import substitution) should grow. That is, the market is being restructured.

Now, right now, this is an extremely unfortunate time to make sudden movements, it is worth mastering yourself, pressing your #opu to a chair and working.
The bomb had already gone off, but the shock wave had just begun to disperse. The Donbass operation will continue, which means sanctions will continue. And that means there will be counter-sanctions. Approximately, as in 2014, only once in N is larger. Moreover, this time the sanctions-counter-sanctions affect IT directly, which means that it will be a lot of shaking. I completely agree with Alexander Prokhorovich - the market is being restructured. Many projects will simply collapse, many will reorient themselves to domestic software - because the lafa is over, the time for a harsh enterprise is coming ...
