How do SPs feel about self-signed ssl certificates?

If the program connects via ssl, but the server has a self-signed certificate, does it swear? Particularly interested in java

Yapu don't care by and large. The main thing is that the received certificate is recognized as trusted, and that the ca that issued it is in the repository of trusted certificates.

If interested - startssl.com gives free certificates. wosign(Chinese) too
use it myself. Only yes, this is a hemorrhoid, you need the correct domain name, DNS, hostmaster / postmaster mailbox.

On Sharp, when "referring" to the server, he said to ignore certificate errors, everything worked, in Java I think everything will be exactly the same, maybe even a 1 to 1 code will do.
