How do search bots feel about a large collapsed menu? Do search bots cache menu icons?
Made a menu for a text editor to the form for sending messages. There are about 600 small icon images in this menu. Normally the menu is collapsed with display: none; This menu is present in every topic, on every page with comments.
How will search bots react to this?
Will they load all these pictures every time or will they cache them and won't load them on another page? Or do bots generally load pictures in a separate run?

If in display:none - should not pay attention, especially if the icons are duplicated on each topic. Merge into a sprite, or find an alternative (some kind of font-avesome). For sprites, use the title="picture" attribute. If the menu is closed by default, then the browser will also load them only when you open the menu with the mouse. You can apply lazyload.
